MySims (DS) - Fish Guide

Introduction

There are many fish which can be caught in different locations, at variety of different times and by a number of methods. As I
find fish I shall log them here with this type of information. Hopefully this will make fishing a little easier and if you have
found fish which is not currently on this list and know exactly how to find it, please contact me and let me know.

The 'Tip' section is generally a tip on how to catch the largest of that species. All the fish currently listed have been found
and donated by Shai Angyl, so a big thank you to Shai.

Fish Profiles


King of the rivers and lakes around here.

Where: Found in the mountain area, but also under bridges sometimes.
When: It is nocturnal animal that is only active at night.
How: Is attracted to zigzagging lures, but relling one in is very difficult.
Tip: Sometimes appear in environmentally-clean areas.

Alligator

Found in cold, fast-flowing bodies of water.

Where: Low-temperature waters, in the upper streams of a river.
When: ?
How: ?

Rainbow Trout

A long, slender-bodied fish found living in the shadow of rocks.

Where: In lakes or upper parts of a river, lurking behind things.
When: A nocturnal fish mainly active at night.
How: Use the lure in a zigzag pattern.
Tip: The best eels can be caught in clean and clear waters.

Eel

Lives in lakes and rivers where there is very little current.

Where: Often found in high altitude lakes.
When: Feeds twice a day; once each in the morning and evening.
How: Move the lure quickly to catch the fish's attention.
Tip: Large carps can be found where bait is plentiful.

Carp

Lives in the muddy bottom of rivers and lakes.

Where: Can be caught in mountain lakes or under a bridge.
When: Difficult to catch during morning and evening.
How: Move the lure slowly to tempt the fish out in order to catch it.
Tip: Rivers with waterweeds are good habitats for catfish.

Catfish

Lives in bodies of water with gentle currents.

Where: Cannot be caught in rivers with fast currents.
When: It feeds during the day and is quiet at night.
How: It's a fierce fish that is attracted to straight-moving lures.
Tip: Biggest black basses are always in high populated waters.

Black Bass

Found in low-temperature waters.

Where: Sometimes caught in the upper or lower streams of a river.
When: When water temperatures are still low, early morning or evening.
How: If the lure is moved too quickly, it will be scared away.
Tip: It can only live in clean waters, so cleaning up the environment.

Brook Trout

Very territorial fish.

Where: Often caught under a bridge.
When: Not so active from the evening to night.
How: Moving the lure in a straight line.
Tip: A clean river to the sweetfish and will attract more of their kind.

Sweetfish

Found in gentle currents.

Where: Often caught in mountain lakes with gentle currents.
When: During the day is the best time to catch this fish.
How: It is a strong fish that will attack fast-moving lures.
Tip: Can be found in places where abundance of nature attracts animals.

Pike

A large kind of salmon.

Where: Rarely caught in the upper or lower parts of a river.
When: Mainly active during the day or at night.
How: A very cautions fish, only interested in straight-moving lures.
Tip: Currently unknown.

King Salmon

Lives in schools in the sea.

Where: Can be caught from a beach shore.
When: Swims in schools all day long.
How: Move the lure quickly to attract its attention.
Tip: Big horse mackerels are found in plankton-rich parts of the ocean.

This fish can be found in oceans with a lot of reefs.

Where: A boat should be used to catch these fish.
When: Active any time of the day.
How: Slow-moving lure is the best way to catch it.
Tip: Biggest sea breams can be found in heavy populated waters.

Sea Bream

Swims all over the ocean on a fixed course.

Where: Can be caught anywhere in the ocean.
When: Not very active during the day.
How: Move the lure quickly and the fish will aggressively take the bait.
Tip: Catch in the ocean near a large river nearby.

Sea Bass

Lives in schools.

Where: Can be caught from a beach shore or an embankment.
When: Active all day long.
How: If the lure is moved too quickly, it will be scared away.
Tip: Big Sardines live in oceans where plankton is abundant.

Sardine

Lives in schools near the surface of the ocean.

Where: Can be caught from a beach shore.
When: Swims all day long following a fixed course.
How: Move the lure in a zigzag pattern to attract the fish.
Tip: Found in oceans with abundant aquatic life & few natural enemies.

Pacific Saury

A notoriously ferocious fish.

Where: Can be caught from a boat or the beach shore.
When: Actively looks for food all day long.
How: Move the lure in a zigzag pattern to anger the fish for attack.
Tip: Found in parts of the ocean where large schools of fish gather.

Barracuda

Fast-swimming fish.

Where: Does not approach land, so the only way to catch it is by boat.
When: Currently unknown.
How: Currently unknown.
Tip: Currently unknown.

Marlin

Thought to have become extinct a long time ago.

Where: Rarely caught from an embankment.
When: Only active at night.
How: Zigzag the lure very slowly so as not to scare it away.
Tip: An abundance of nature will help the Anomalocrid grow bigger.
